Marrakech morning tour
Your morning visit will start with the defining landmark of Marrakech, its 12th-century tiled minaret of the Koutoubia mosque. After that you will visit the famous Bahia palace, a 19th century palace that boasts a large courtyard, beautiful fountains, tiles, ornate wall-carvings, stunning gardens, and is an excellent spot to find tranquility and marvel at traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Then continue to the intriguing Saadien Tombs, after the discovery of their existence in 1917, these breathtaking tombs have been carefully restored and well cared for. Now they have become one of the most popular and the most visited attractions in Marrakech, if not all of Morocco. Have some refreshments in one of the beautiful rooftop terrace cafés of the Medina (old part of the city) before continuing your visit, we advise a hot mint tea (nicknamed the Moroccan Whiskey). Your morning visit ends with the famous Jamaa El Fna square. This traditionnal market place and square is located in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech, where locals and tourists gather. Today this square is registred on the UNESCO’s list of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Here you can discover several facets of Moroccan culture (folkloric dancing, storytelling, snake charming and much more).
Lunch time
Our guide will take to one of the most beautiful restaurants in Marrakech where you can enjoy your lunch.
Marrakech afternoon tour
After lunch, our guide will accompany you to the wonderful Majorelle garden, a botanical garden with about 300 plant species. The garden was named after its founder, the famous French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962), who created it in 1931, taking inspiration from desert oases, Islamic gardens and Hispano-Moorish gardens. The garden was bought by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé in 1980. This site is definitely worth a visit. The Marrakech tour will end with leisurely time at the Souk with its many colorful shops and enticing spice shops. Here you can buy souvenirs before going back to your hotel.
